Retangular shaped, brass colored coin, 1 1/4 inches high x 3 inches wide.

23rd Chemical Battalion.

Coin Number 0631.

On December 17 2004, the 61st Chemical Company, along with 62nd Chemical Company and the 23rd Chemical Battalion completed its relocation to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA as a member of the 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.

On 24 January 2007 the company supported the 23d Chemical Battalion deployment to Afghanistan (OEF 06-08) in support of Combined Joint Task Force (82nd Airborne Division)-82. The Company redeployed back to Joint Base Lewis-McChord on 25 January 2008.

Today the 61st Chemical Company is a proud and integral member of the Army’s Chemical Brigade, I Corps, and the Joint Base Lewis-McChord community.
