CMO-2 Mission: "to provide ready for tasking aircraft and qualified maintenance teams capable of supporting maritime patrol and rconnaissance operations and training objectives wordwide."

CMO owns all P-3c aircraft and maintenance personnel. The patrol squadrons consist of aircrews and a handful of administrative personnel. When a patrol squadron deploys, the CMO sends a Maintenance Detachment Team (MDT) to accompany the squadron at the deployment site.
