Ed Note: Coin was designed in Rustamiyah, Iraq by SSG Rockney J Rhodes during a 2008 deployment. SGT Rhodes provided the information during a stopover in Bangor, Maine on 23 April 2014 enroute to a deployment in Afghanistan. His latest deployment was with the 1st Cavalry Division.

Further Note: Prior to its deployment to Iraq in 2006, the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment had been garrisoned at Fort Hood, Texas. Following that deployment, they moved to Fort Carson, Colorado along with the rest of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
