I Corps deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in March 2009 - March 2010 to serve as the HQ for MultiNational Corps Iraq under Multi National Forces-Iraq led by the I Corps commander Lieutenant General Charles H. Jacoby. In Jan 2010, MNFI & MNC-I deactivated and reactivated as a consolidated USF-I (United States Forces-Iraq) under General Odierno.
