931st Civil Engineer Squadron
The 931st Civil Engineer Squadron is assigned to the 22nd Air Refueling Wing. The 22nd Air Refueling wing is the host unit for McConnell AFB Kansas and is one of only three supertanker KC-135 Stratotanker wings in the Air Force. It's primary mission is to provide global reach by conducting air refueling and airlift. Team McConnell is the only Total Force base.
The highly skilled technicians of the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering units build and maintain the infrastructure that ensures America's air superiority and military dominance throughout the world. For more than forty years, the members of the Air Force's celebrated Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force (Prime BEEF) teams, have provided a full range of engineering support to establish, operate, and maintain garrison and contingency airbases throughout the world. Their mission is to providie beddown for Air Force personnel and aircraft, emergency response and management, explosive ordnance disposal, and expedient construction. The coin design replicates the distinctive unit patch of the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering Prime BEEF teams, featuring the image of a snorting, long-horned bull kicking up a cloud of dust.
