In November 2003 and again in June 2005, the 593rd Corps Support Group deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. From the moment the 593rd Corps Support Group took over the logistical mission in Iraq, they set the standard for logistical excellence for the 13th Corps Support Command. Additionally, the 593rd Corps Support Group supported Operation Enduring Freedom by sending units to Afghanistan.

On 16 April 2008, the 593rd Support Group (Corps) was reorganized and redesignated as the 593rd Sustainment Brigade.
