The 61st Airlift Squadron has two missions: It supports war-fighting commanders-in-chief with theater combat delivery of personnel and supplies worldwide, and it provides combat-ready aircrews to conduct airland, aeromedical evacuation and tactical low-level airdrop missions. Additionally, the squadron helps meet national objectives by airlifting classified cargo.
