Walt Disney visited many units back in Germany during WWII. He made many sketches for soldiers during these trips. On one specific trip, he sketched Goofy wearing an old helmet with a spool of cable trailing behind him. This has been on the back of every 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion coin ever since.
