Located just southeast of Dallas, the 807th Medical Brigade is the premier United States Army Reserve Medical Brigade. The unit has its peacetime trace through the 90th Regional Support Command in Little Rock, AR to the United States Army Reserve Command in Atlanta, GA. The 807th Medical Brigade is assigned to III Corps, in wartime, as the corps' medical brigade, becoming a subordinate command of the 13th COSCOM. The brigade, also known as the 807th MEDCOM (Corps), provides command and control (C2) of USAR medical units in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
The mission of the brigade is to provide command, control, administrative assistance, and technical supervision of assigned and attached medical units. The wartime mission includes the command, control, planning, and operation of the corps health service support (HSS) system. The HSS mission is accomplished through centralized control of decentralized operations. Policies are provided for the effective integration of HSS in the corps and are coordinated with supported units.
