Skull shaped, brass colored coin, 2 inches wide x 2-5/8 inches high.

SIDE 1 - White scull shaped design with, from top to bottom, the words, "HEADQUARTERS BATTERY 2ND BN 43RD ADA" along the top edge of the skull, forming an arch over an air and missile defense artillery insignia; "HARDCORE" and "PRESENTED BY THE COMMAND TEAM FOR EXCELLENCE" on horizontal lines below, followed by Captain's rank insignia, First Sergeant's rank insignia and a horizontal rectangle with the number "27."
