The coin represents the Iraqi Assistance Group, a US Military command underneath Multi-National Corps-Iraq that coordinated military transition teams assigned to the Iraqi Security Forces, including the Iraqi Army, Federal Police, Department of Border Enforcement, Ports of Entry Directorate and provincial police.The Iraqi Assistance Group consisted mainly of US Army Soldiers but also included a sizable contingent of US Navy, Air Force and Marine personnel as well as members of foreign militaries.
