A Concurrent Resolution of the South Carolina General Assembly dated 12 May 2005:

"Joining the communities of Abbeville in Abbeville County and Hodges in Greenwood County in welcoming home - - - - -the 111th Signal Battalion - - - - - the members of the General Assembly of the State of Sotuh Carolina, by this resolution, join the communities of Abbeville in Abbeville County and Hodges in Greenwood County in welcoming home close to one hundred South Carolina Army National Guardsmen of the 111th Signal Battalion after their tour of active duty in Iraq, and extend the gratitude of this State to them and their families for their sacrifices in the name of freedom."
