MAJ Ruths writes: "Joint Sustainment Command - Afghanistan (JSC-A) Coin. This is a large silver/chrome in color coin with a red border on each side. The front shows a map of Afghanistan, the patch of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command (higher HQs unit) above Afghanistan, an Afghan flag, the unit's patch, and the crests for their subordinate units. The reverse shows US and Afghan flags superimposed over each country map and the symbols for the Army, Marines, Navy, and Air Force. The unit that made up JSC-A in 2010 was the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, an Alabama National Guard unit. While deployed, the unit was stationed at Kandahar Airfield (KAF), Afghanistan and was responsible for all sustainment and logistics country wide."
