From a news article broadcast by the ABC affiliate in birmingham Alabama dated 10 December 2014, headlined "877th Engineer Battalion returns home to Birmingham in time for holidays":
Birmingham , AL -
"This Christmas will be 'extra-special' for some central Alabama families. Their loved ones returned home this afternoon after nine months in Afghanistan. - - - The troops managed training and engineering missions, worked on construction projects and organized $20 million worth of retrograde equipment. The nine-month deployment to Afghanistan was Sgt. Jason Heath's second. He navigated through a hangar full of people to find his wife Rebecca. "I have somebody for you to meet," said Rebecca Heath. Sgt. Heath met his five-month-old son for the first time. "I've seen him every day in pictures. We've Skyped a few times. To actually sit here and hold him, it's so surreal," added Sgt. Heath."
