The 2nd Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment was first organized in Juoly 1968 and assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. It soon found its way to Vietnam and compiled an impressive record by its actions. Its unit decorations include 2 Presidential Unit Citations, a Valorous Unit Award, 2 Republis of Vietnam Crosses of Gallantry with Palm, and 2 Rep;ublic of Vietname Civil Action Honor Medals.
