Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 24 (NMCB-24)

As the result of budget cutting efforts across the Department of Defense, the Navy directed the decommissioning of four reserve Seabee Battalions and a reserve Seabee Regiment in 2013. Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCBs) 21, 23, 24 and 15 along with the 3rd Naval Construction Regiment (NCR) were decommissioned at the conclusion of fiscal year 2013.
