The Operational Support Airlift Agency (OSAA) is a department of the Army Field Operating Agency under the National Guard Bureau. It is a brigade-level command that provides leadership, command and control, direction, and guidance for the Army National Guard’s (ARNG’s) fixed-wing community. This includes providing, safety, training, standardization, readiness, maintenance, and resourcing oversight for 80 separate fixed-wing units, including 114 aircraft and the approximately 700 personnel assigned or attached to the agency or its Regional Flight Centers in virtually every state and territory. These small fixed-wing organizations execute worldwide missions in support of war fighting, homeland defense, and peacetime contingencies and operations. The OSAA is a unique multi-component organization that is manned by active duty warrant officers, ARNG Title 10 and 32 Active Guard Reserve Soldiers, traditional Guardsmen, and Department of the Army Civilians.

The OSAA and the Operational Support Airlift Command are unique organizations that daily perform critical missions with Army National Guard fixed-wing aircraft. Both organizations are vital assets to the ARNG and the U.S. Army at home and abroad.
