FORT CAMPBELL, Kentucky -- "Beginning in 1970, the Brig. Gen. Jeremiah P. Holland Award has been presented to company or smaller sized elements who have distinguished themselves beyond any other unit in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps throughout the year. After a nine-month deployment to Europe, Soldiers from the 551st Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, were presented the Brig. Gen. Jeremiah P. Holland Award, crowning the company as the best Military Police Company in 2018. For 2018, the Jeremiah P. Holland selection board chose the 551st MP Co. as winners of the award, recognizing their collective performance on the Army Physical Fitness Test, weapon qualifications, deployment to Germany, and other unit accomplishments. Receiving this award shows the hard work and dedication of the all of the Soldiers who were and/or are a part of the 551st MP Co. during the 2018. The 716th MP Battallion and Fort Campbell community can now say they have some of the best MPs in the world after welcoming the 551st MP Co. back home."
