Round shaped coin, pewter in color, 2 inches in diameter.
Detachment 1, D Company, 236th Brigade Engineer Battalion, North Carolina Army National Guard.
Side 1 of the coin features the "Class A" (colorized) version of the 30th Brigade Combat Team shoulder sleeve insignia which consists of the blue letters "O" and "H" on a red oval background and the letters "XXX" on the bar of the "H." The letters "O" & "H" are the initials of "Old Hickory" and the "XXX" is the Roman notation for the number of the organization. The original Old Hickory Division was nicknamed in honor of President Andrew Jackson (Old Hickory) and originally was made up of troops from North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
