Messalonskee Middle School, Assembly to honor Veterans.

Messalonskee Middle School Announcement posted on 12 November 2019:

"Last Thursday, November 7th, Messalonskee Middle School students gathered at MHS for an event they had been preparing for all fall. The annual breakfast and assembly honoring our veterans is a local tradition that gives students a chance to personally thank some of the men and women who have fought for their freedom. Students served refreshments to their honored guests in the MHS Cafeteria and then led them into the PAC for an assembly featuring guest speakers, readings, and music provided by the MHS band. A favorite moment of many who have attended the assembly is when the band plays the traditional Marches of the Armed Forces and each branch stands during their theme. Students then shared original essays, letters, and poems they wrote concerning the sacrifice our veterans make for our freedom."
