1st Battalion, 360th Infantry Regiment conducts post mobilization training for Reserve and National Guard units preparing for overseas deployment.
1st Battalion, 360th Infantry Regiment was awarded the Army Superior Unit Award for its performance during the period 1 October 2011 to 1 March 2013. The citation in Department of the Army Permanent Order 205-11 dated 24 July 2014 reads:
"During the period 1 October 2011 to 1 March 2013, the 1st Battalion, 360th Infantry Regiment displayed outstanding meritorious and superior service in support of Overseas Contingency Operations by training over 25,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines to deploy outside of the United States with zero delays or loss of time due to safety accidents. The 1st Battalion, 360th Infantry Regiment epitomizes the ideal concept of the Total Army and the role that both Active Component and Reserve Component units play in preparing Joint Service Members to execute their wartime mission. The dedication and outstanding performance of the 1st Battalion, 360th Infantry Regiment are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon themselves, the United States Army and the United States of America."
