Narrative

SIDE ONE: On a brass background, over a U.S. flag billowing in the wind, a red heart framed by a pair of stylized hands, all surrounded by a blue border inscribed, "Fisher House" above and "Helping Military Families" below.

SIDE TWO: A brass depiction of Zachary & Elizabeth Fisher, the founders of the Fisher House Foundation, surrounded by a blue border inscribed "Because a family's love is good medicine", above, and "Est. 1990" below.

Fisher Homes Foundation provides housing near major medical facilities where military and veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is being treated. They also operate the Hero Miles program, using frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members, and a variety of other military charities and scholarship funds for families of fallen and disabled veterans. Since its inception in 1990, the program has saved military and veterans families an estimated $500 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation.
