SIDE 2: On a shield divided diagonally, red over white, a mounted Cavalrymen over a quotation from a historical poem entitled, Fiddler's Green, "For none but the shades of Cavalrymen Dismount at Fiddler's Green", Behind the shield, a pair of crossed sabers with an LTC insignia of rank on the left hilt and CSM on the right;, above the shield, the number "150" and below, the number "1" and the notation, Presented for Excellence".

Headquartered in Bluefield, West Virginia, the 150th Cavalry is the sole armored and cavalry unit of the West Virginia National Guard. The 150th is part of the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, which is in turn part of the 29th Infantry Division; both formations include Army National Guard forces from multiple states.
