Round shaped, pewter colored coin, 1- 13/16 inches in diameter.
3-66 AR was assigned to the 172nd Infantry Brigade (Separate) and garrisoned out of Grafenwoehr, Germany. The unit was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-10 in Kurkush, Iraq and Diyala province. Additionally, Task Force 3-66 AR completed a deployment to Paktika Province, Afghanistan from July 2011 to June 2012. Task Force 3-66 AR deactivated along with its parent headquarters, the 172nd Separate Infantry Brigade, in June 2013. At the time of deactivation, it was the last U.S. Army armor formation on the European Continent. It is planned to reactivate as a Combined Arms Battalion (CAB) at Fort Riley, Kansas as part of the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division in the fall of 2014
