SSG Hammond, the donor of this coin is a transportation NCO assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment. He states, "I have carried this coin during the surge in Baqubah, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in July 2008 and at CoB Basrah during Operation New Dawn in 2011."
